L3Harris Technologies is an American company that is focused on the aerospace and defense industries, providing their customers with wireless equipment, tactical radios, avionics, electronic systems, night vision equipment, and more. L3Harris was established in 2019 through the merger of L3 Technologies and Harris Corporation, and the newly established company is expected to be the sixth largest defense contractor in the globe.

Harris Corporation was first established in 1895, and the company’s early history consisted of the development of lithographic processes and printing processes. After their merger with Radiation, Inc. in 1967 and subsequent acquisitions, Harris Corporation diversified their operations over the decades to include the manufacturing of surveillance solutions, microwave weaponry, and electronic warfare. Before their merger with L3 Technologies, Harris Corporation was considered one of the top hundred federal contractors by Defense News.

L3 Technologies was first established in 1997 as L-3 Communications, and they initially began with the intent of acquiring specific business units from Lockheed Martin.
